...smooth, easy-drinking...Cox Vineyards Estate blend of Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon...gorgeous garnet color in glass...juicy palate of black cherry...
Smooth, ripe tasting and well rounded, this full-bodied wine is packed with broad strawberry and red-cherry flavors and shows a relaxed, easy mouthfeel.
Dark red cherry, smoke, tobacco, licorice, spice and a hint of new oak infuse the 2013 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Pliant and generous, the 2013 is a good choice for drinking now and over the next few years.
96 Points - Wine Enthusiast. A smooth, velvety, creamy bubbly with a well enveloped acidity and long finish from the Anderson Valley.
Melon, apricot, candied hazelnuts, orange blossom, honey and pear compote all show themselves in both the nose and the palate of the wine.
A light amber orange color is striking for the usually pale varietal, and the aroma and flavor are equally vivid. Apricot, almonds and a touch of honey give it unusual depth and interest, while good acidity deftly balances a rich mouthfeel.
The fruit for this wine comes from a cutting planted below eagle peak in 1998. It‘s rumored to be a rare Brunello clone from centuries-old vineyards outside of Montalcino acquired late-night and under questionable legal circumstances. But then, we’ll never know, will we? We hope you enjoy this illicit Sangiovese as much as we do!
Chianti Classico made with 100% Sangiovese grapes from a single vineyard. There is peculiar aromatic complex of this wine, which embodies a very complex spicy component to a ripened fruit.
