McFadden 2016 Coro Mendocino Blend: 70% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah, 8% Syrah, 2% Grenache

A fun sparkling rose wine from Oregon...a great choice to take anywhere for a fun celebration or mere enjoyment...the bubbles dance on the tongue with mouth-watering acidity that leaves one wanting more.

Red and black fruits of fresh ripe cherry, plum, wild strawberry, and fresh blackberry roll out of the glass and onto the palate. An exotic dimension is added with the tone of Chinese five spice - namely anise and nutmeg - as well as other baking spices lent by the oak, while a lingering earthy aroma provides a tip of the cap to something decidedly more old world.

Aromas of black cherry and caramel with flavors of vanilla, and toasty oak. The texture is very soft with low, but perceptible tannin and balanced acidity.
