WINE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE CORO GUILD
A light amber orange color is striking for the usually pale varietal, and the aroma and flavor are equally vivid. Apricot, almonds and a touch of honey give it unusual depth and interest, while good acidity deftly balances a rich mouthfeel.
McDowell Valley 2004 Coro Mendocino Blend: 60% Zinfandel, 20% Syrah, 20% Petite Sirah
WINE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE CORO GUILD
The fruit for this wine comes from a cutting planted below eagle peak in 1998. It‘s rumored to be a rare Brunello clone from centuries-old vineyards outside of Montalcino acquired late-night and under questionable legal circumstances. But then, we’ll never know, will we? We hope you enjoy this illicit Sangiovese as much as we do!
