For thousands of years the Pomo people have lived in this beautiful valley they call the Sanel (sha-nel). At the historic Fairbairn Ranch in Hopland, the last hop kiln built in Mendocino County overlooks 22 acres of Syrah planted in 1994. Our Vineyard is farmed self-sufficiently, free of pesticides and chemical, and is certified Biodynamic® by the Demeter Association. Aromas of warm cherry pie, cola, violets, and a hint of clove on the finish. Round and full on the palate with flavors of red cherries, ripe plum, and notes of cardamom with soft tannins and vibrant acidity to focus the long finish.
